The monitoring issue is the only thing i don't like about the 62, i mix in ear a lot so it is a big issue. Other than that i prefer it to the 92, the knobs are much better spaced and easier to use, it's got a better filter imo and I do like the volume faders, there's also a bit more resistence in them, I've always found the 92 faders a bit too loose.
Having said all that I've got the 92 because of the monitoring.. It's in dire need of repair/replacing tho. So i may be in the market for a mixer some time soon. |

I actually prefer the monitoring on the 62. I always have the cue in my left ear and the master I listen to with my other ear out of the headphones, and it keeps riff raff who need cue blend and other crap away from my mixer.
I always love seeing someone struggle with the cue and then ask 'how do I blend it, or make this channel louder than this one?' |

My opinion is there is no right way to mix records together, what goes on behind the decks doesn't matter as long as what comes out the PA sounds good.
I'm flexible when it comes to monitoring styles anyway, i use the 62 when i play out as it's the mixer installed at the club where I play so I've kinda had to get used to it, it's just a preference of mine having the xone 92's monitoring system thats why I bought it.. |

| I never said there was a right way. Just that I like seeing people squirm who are used to cue blend or mixing in the headphones. It makes my penis an inch larger in circumference. |

Thanks for all the answers, i decided after a lot of thinking and comparing, to go with the Xone:42.
I would love to have the 92, but im a "bedroom dj" and it would be to expensive to have such a mixer and get to struggle with routing the efx sound through a spare channel.
In the 42 you have an excellent fx-sendreturn, as it should be standard in any club mixer. And the sound quality is the same as in the 92.
Im selling my DJM-800 and CDJs 800 because i only mix vinyl now, so im very exited to muy future mixer, the xone 42, and not to mention i saving money :) |

I am in the same dilemma right now. I currently own the A&H Xone 42 but i given the chance to buy the Xone 92 for quite cheap, about $1140 and or £685.
Should i take the chance? |

| meh. I've had this discussion many times. I have a 42 and have used the 92 plenty. I prefer the former. 92 is way overkill for home use. Cue is better on the 42 and really 4 band eq is kinda too much imo. |

It's second hand but rarely used and never seen club play.

Have heard the Effects Send & Return are worse on the 92 than on the 42 is it true? Are there any differences in favour of the 92 or should i stick with the 42? I know the Rec Out is balanced compared to the Xone 42's unbalanced ones. |
