OK, this is weird. Bongwater doesn't have any of the Virus TI line except the snow on their website, and ZZounds only has 1 Polar left and its discounted a few hundred dollars.
I wonder if this is an indication of some upgraded versions at NAMM? |

Ive seen others thinking in the same lines.. :) There has to be SOMETHING going on. |

OK, good then I am not just seeing things. I wanted to pick one up in the next few months.
Beyer: Have you see anything on other forums? |

Yep, people see the ti models are disappearing from various shops,
like sweetwater.
I guess we will have to wait and see if they reveal something at NAMM.
They HAVE to. |

Prediction : More of the same crap. |

What I really want to see at Winter NAMM is something new from Moog to compete with the DSI MoPho. A rackable or desktop version of the Little Phatty street priced at $800 would be ideal. Little Phatty RME? Let's hope. |

Yeah I saw that as well, they seem to be the only ones. The question is: for how long?

I called my guy a Sweetwater and he shows that the Polar, Desktop and 61-key are DISCONTINUED.
WTF?????
I don't see how a synth like that, which is so popular, can be discontinued. Ant its not like its just the Polar version. ALL the TI models are gone except the Snow.
There has to be something up. At this point, the Snow is their only hardware product! That CAN'T be right. |

There have been rumors circulating about a TImkII for some time now - maybe it will be announced at Winter NAMM???
Time to start speculating...hmmmmm...maybe the TImkII series will be all-analogue! |

Sweetwater is always the first to get new gear and to update their inventory according to manufacturer specifications, so if sweetwater says they're discontinued, I'd say we can definitely expect Access to make an announcement next week at Winter NAMM.
Again, my prediction is a Virus Ti MKII... just more of the same crap, more digital outputs.. more voices.. maybe a new type of OSC or two? But still the same crappy sound engine as the original Virus A. |

I hope so, the TI has been on my list, but I need Uncle Sam to help me finance it, so I can't until March or April. I hope I can get one then.

haha, yeah that'd be cool, but don't hold your breath.
If I had to speculate, its probably what alanzo said. More voices, more polyphony, and maybe firewire or USB 3 support.
That's ASSUMING that there is indeed an mkII. My contacts say they don't know anything about it, but that could just be because they are not allowed to say anything. |
