Yes, it's fully based on user feedback, so if someone requests a photo, I will put it up (or if it's a DJ that requests photo approval first, based on thier response).

For anything non DJ (like crowd shots, city shots, etc.. in the Misc album, anything should be OK.

Artists will be able to buy the prints at-cost and sell them autographed/numbered on thier website too, so it just depends on how much they want to participate.

Oh nice.

If you come photograph gareth emery this weekend I'll buy one of those :-)

I'm allowed one fan-girl moment a month:

James Zabiela <3 I'd have a poster but I'm afraid I would treat it too well.

for a dj print? none of the above. i've never seen anyone frame a club pic and present it as a piece of wall art and i don't know if such a market even exists out there, but if you took urban/natural landscape pics i would pay $25 or more for a good one. dj pics though, i dunno...

That's because there isn't a market, i'm creating it :) There are fans of DJs out there, but the only posters they can get are ones promoting an event they are at, nothing "official" like any pop stars' posters that you can buy anywhere.

I always meet lots of people that wish they could get a poster of a DJ and use one of my pics for that reason, so it seems like it is out there.

I think the demand is definitely out there. I'm sure this will be a successful attempt. I know I'll buy one.

I think there is definitely a market for this, albeit a niche market here in the US. There may be more of a demand for something like this in Europe, where EDM is more widely accepted as mainstream music. Think about some of the limited edition prints (and posters) your parents or older relatives may have had from some of the legendary classic rock outfits of the 60s and 70s. Some of those are worth hundreds of dollars now in good condition.

Drew, if you could get the artists on board with this idea, you may be able to run a long way with it. You could potentially capture images of the artists/DJs performing at some of the most (in)famous venues in the world. Think clubs in Ibiza, the terrace at Space in Miami during WMC, huge European festivals like Creamfields, etc. Of course, your travel schedule would be a lot more hectic. :p

You've read these boards and others like them. You've photographed some of the biggest EDM events ever in the US. People go absolutely ape over these DJs and producers just like our parents did for classic rock bands in their time. The market is there; it's just thinly spread world-wide.

For me personally it will depend on the picture. If it's one that really grabs my attention id pay a nice amount.

I think it is a sick idea. I like it from a, "capturing a moment at a certain place and time" type thing. Meaning if you could somehow cleanly add the venue name and maybe date (or maybe not date), each piece, at least to me, becomes even more than a beautiful print. It makes a mega night at Vanguard or a day-time techno party at the Standard have equal value to me.

You should be able to make 50-100% mark-up as one-off prints cost wise are not cheap alone, but I'd pay 25ish.

I know this isn't one of yours...but this photo absolutely strikes me every time I see it. I'd pay a good price to have something like this.

There is just...something about it.

Will it be print on demand? If so, do you have a shop picked out yet? I'd recommend Zazzle. They are great at that kind of stuff. Let me know if you need specialized help and I can put you in touch with someone.

$20....

I love your work and only wish the photographers in Jersey and NYC had the skills that you do...

However, spending more $25 on an item that really isn't a Necessity is asking a bit much...

Keep up the good work :toocool:
