how many of your parents know about it? and if so what did/do they say to you about it??
my mom just told me she knew iv been doing it but didnt say anything because id do it regardless, and she wishes id stop.. i feel bad and feel like i let her down as a son..
how did your parents react when they found out?? |

My mom dated a pot dealer in HS, and has smoked on and off since then, I found this all out after my father passed.
I smoke with her from time to time, weed is like any old thing in our house, like having a beer. |

| They know, were a bit disappointed when they found out, but I think they got over that. As long as there aren't any problems and it's not laying around the house when I'm at home they don't mention it. |

| I'm pretty sure mine knew when I was smoking it at home (they're not dumb, and while I was never open about it, I didn't make anything more than a cursory attempt to hide it), but they never mentioned it. I assume because they knew I'd do it anyway, and hey at least I wasn't binging on pills and speed anymore. |

My parents are reasonably straight. My dad thinks anyone with a tattoo is a petty criminal and that drug takers are all junkies, but honestly, I think they'd be disappointed in me if they thought I'd never bothered to try cannabis. It's a right of passage as a young adult. I admitted it to them once in casual conversation and they didn't even bat an eyelid, whereas mere mentions of other drugs (not me taking them) will solicit angry glares from them.
Is it really that bigger deal these days? |

| i'll get drunk, do lines with hookers, party till day break -- but one thing i won't do is pot. besides potentially making a friend out of it, i know it would disappoint my parents too :( |

Yeah, we've discussed the things they did, reactions, etc.
It's called maturity.
Don't worry, they smoked before too, and you're not letting anyone down. They just pretend to care so you don't become a failure lazyass. |
