I'll take some middle ground and say depending on the time and place yes. I'm not sure why Israel is still building settlements in the West Bank. And although Muslims spread out, start wars in the name of religion, turn countries into Muslim-land, and kick out or convert anyone who isn't Muslim, it probably doesn't justify Israel kicking out the Palestinians. The only problem is that the Palestinians have been breeding like flies. So in numbers they convince the world that they're this HUGE population that got pushed out by European immigrants when in fact they have a greater baby record than a Mexican-Mormon.
Anyway back to Gaza. Hamas fired rockets. Israel is now saying "no more of your " and getting rid of the rockets. They don't care if Hamas strap babies to the bombs. They'll still take out the rocket launching sites. |

didnt have to shoot no one yet.
i served the army for 26 months,
after that i served (worked) as a medic & guard at a company for 5 years.
i have been travelling with groups all over isreal,
i had big luck for not dealing with any combat field.
just for you to know,
we got strict policy about shooting, even if the situation involves
armed ppl. |

guess you didnt have to guard your family from terorr attack,
the rules are :
put your hands where i can see them,
if he does not do that, & in some way you feel that this guy is armed, you shot him at his leg.
if he does some problematic move, you shot to kill.
we dont really want to loose any of our soldiers or civilians. |

Ok how do you explain bombing clearly marked UN trucks and compounds....which are only being used by workers around the world to help the people from both sides in the conflict. |

I mean land that belonged to the Palestinian people, the places where they lived, raised their families, had their farms, etc. was stolen by the Israelis in 1948. I gave you a fairly substantial list of places from which they removed the people who were living there. No one with any sort of rational thought would attempt to defend such actions. |

Again this is not true. People who are under occupation or control of a stronger group of people don't want to "take over" their empire. They want the freedom they deserve. I live in a country that has been occupied by another for 800 years. We have no interest in controlling their empire, just what's rightfully ours.

While I don't agree with the way in which land was basically taken from others and used to create the state of Israel, we can not change this fact. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, does not solve the problem. Also, dwelling on the past is complacent and idiocy. It happened, and it is not changing. Get over it. |

Ben this logic only works if you are pro Israel.
"Hamas fired rockets, it happened, get over it."
"Hitler killed millions of Jews, it happened get over it."
over 60 years later they still went after war criminals...what happened to getting over it?
(and i agree with pursuing war criminals, this is just a point to show you that get over it seems to apply to everyone but Israel.)
They want to wage a war fine, but there are ways to do so, and the way Israel is doing this is not the way. I make fun of jews sure, but this is jokingly, any other country (including my own) that would act in such a barbaric manner would sicken me. No matter which way you look at this, Israel will not win. They can kill every Palestinian from terrorist, to mother, to child, the muslim people from elsewhere will hit back. There are more of them then there are of you, and the United States will be able to do absolutely nothing about it.
this conflict is working to promote antisemitism way more than it is going to help end it. |
