:)
Hello friends, I made a bunch of submissions to RA this year..
The site made a year:end and picked their favorite galleries.
Had about 6 galleries that I submitted get picked over the course of 2008, moreso picking up around the summer with our awesome string of standard parties+cinespace.
We have Gui Borotto,Lawler,Magda,Drumcode night,Bill Patrick and Burridge + a few more.
I'm really happy to showcase this for the year, enjoy.
Thanks RA |

RA is pretty biased against most non-underground-techno stuff. I was going to work with them in 2005 but then joined ClubPlanet instead. When I got in contact with them again last year and just offered to put up my regular Vanguard/Heat galleries up for free, they said no and they only wanted Compression/Droid/etc... from LA. |

I didn't submit my Coachella galleries, I figured it was more of a vacation/exploration on my part.. didn't even have a press pass. I took those with my old XT and just one prime lens. ;)
I agree with Drew, while they may be biased, it's exactly the scene that I love and want to support.. every photographer has their own trails to blaze.
Drew is crossing into a viable and popular scene by tagging and supporting some of the worlds BIGGEST DJ's and personalities. Following/on tour. I'm happy for Rukes and all of his great progress over the past years.. he has set his path and plans to continute to brand his style.. Drew has been a friend and mentor since meeting him in 05.
On the other side of the scene..I feel extremely satisfied supporting the Techno scene, which has become an art/self expression outlet for my creative ventures. As an underground/nightlife lifestyle photographer. I try to stay attuned to the movement of the night documenting and running with the experience. As I gain different perspectives and experiment with light.. without becoming a hipster or pervayor of the lastnightsparty pinup crew, that is not my style or something I want to be associated with.
Drew makes this his fulltime passion, while I am more of a weekend warrior, making my ca$hflow. :-p in corporate IT. |

Haha, thanks. Yeah, when they told me that I was like "Wait, that's Chris's job, are they retarded?" Supposedly that EIC that sent me that reply got fired. |

Well you haven't let him bless you, have you? You start to levitate off the ground a few inches for about 10 minutes, it rocks! I would go for the photo/float combo, ask him about it next time. |
