When i finish this , it will be ultimatley my 1st aniversary in production. So i need to tread carefully because of my song choice.
In my eyes , the original is a very seminal piece and on the whole i think a great track.
So ive set to work and got halfway there , the basic foundations are done but things like effects need to be polished up.The main lead has took all afternoon to make , and i know it stops abruptly because i havent finished it at 5.30.
Anyways see if im on the right track

| The synths and track lack character and definition. FX, edits, breakdowns, all of these things can contribute to a fatter, overall better mix. That synth that comes in around 2:00 is a little better in terms of actually being part of the mix but still very boring. I would listen to the original Insigma track, and remixes that others have done, and then listen to the track you've created with your remix; unfortunately your remix lacks energy and presence. It's not difficult to listen to just boring. |

well im glad its nowhere near finished , because thats a brutal post:D
i spent 3 hours doing the quick arrangment and a further 5 programming that synth at the middle. But as for fx , eq and now im gonna do some work on the other synths now to get it sounding interesting , it still needs tonnes doing to it.
But im gonna rework the whole track , because as ive had a break and relistened to it , it does sound like its dragging out the point.
but cheers for the honest feedback |

| Dosnt sound too bad technically, but needs more things going on, sidechain the pad that runs throughout the song, try to have some big buildups through the tune and some white noise to bring them to a peak then drop them with a heavy bassline that comes in something, js give it more character basically. |

cheers for the post , but ive had a few hours today to go over this and change quite a few things.
As for sidechaining the whole pad instead of just till the end ,ill have a look at.There is white noise in there already , but ill fire up the 201 and record some longer instancies of it. But i have a bassline in there , but i dont know if i have enough headroom for it to be heavy.
But if anyone is interested on how its going :-
