Yea, I Know this show was on the other side of the country from NYC . . / BUT I know that so so many of us are getting geared up for Markus at Pacha in NYC so I wanted to let you all know that we better buckle up for quite the ride!!!...
Let me tell you that this night was 100% amazing. oh my goossh! I dont have time to write up a whole review but the bottom line is that I had Sam, Mikey and Markus with me and it was more than i could ever ask!!! Sam FLEW ACROSS THE COUNTRY to meet us and everything was 100% smooth... we actually got to Anaheim.. across the country.. and we got to the venue way earlier than we ever can get to NYC - LOL, anyways...
The best moments personally for me were when he dropped Cygnes (Mr Sam f Claud9), Lost Connection (Jochen Miller), Sia - Buttons (Markus Schulz Orig Intro Mix), PERFECT, Daydream, Coma Aid ,... and some of the stuff he was dropping REAAALLY had that Dakota feel to it, coulda been some exclusive stuff, i really dont know. his set was from 1130-2am, but the best 2.5 hours I have ever had in a while, and all the best was that i had SAM by my damn side, came like 20+ hours in plane/car travel to share the moment with m e... a last minute trip but one of the most well worth it trips ever, right sam!! i LOVE YOU!! thank you!!! (Wow so i guess i did just write a whole review, okay...) hahah
We got to say hi to Markus real quick at the end, he knew Sam from NYC and was bummbed that we wont be in LA or Vegas for his upcoming gigs, but its okay we still have NYC! :) :) He stayed around the booth for a good 10-15m saying hi to fans and stuff, it ws great to watch, i really think so much of Markus as a person and a DJ, which is why I totally was pushing for Sam to make the trip - I knew it would be worth it...

I have never traveled quite this far JUST for a show, but it was sooo worth it. And, honestly, it wasnt just for markus- Elyse was there too so I HAD to go!!!
After the 11 hour plane ride, then the 5 hour car ride from Vegas to Anaheim- i honestly though I was going to be too tired. Then...Markus came on!! Started with Bittersweet and just got better from there (crazy, I know!!) It was one of his best sets...which is really hard to say- only because each freaking show I go to, Markus is CRAZY!! Its almost hard to say any were better than another because they are all just #1, seriously!! So best- well, just up there @ #1 along with EVERY OTHER SHOW!
I was soooo sad to go- and it just got worse when I was talking to him and hes like- ok see you tomorrow...hahah I made a sad face and was like "no" :( "oh then see you in LA?" "no" :( Markus" really?? ok see you in vegas??" NO!!! I have to go home!!
it was a little humorous as well because i think he realized at that moment just how crazy i am. lol
I have to note on the club as well:
It was VERY small, i was VERY worried. But it packed those fans in there nicely- still probably only had around 200-300 people. However, the staff and management and cleanliness was TOP NOTCH!! I was incredibly impressed with the entire staff! At one point i had to get through the bouncers to let Markus know that his Photog was here (I worked with mikey mcnulty to get him together with markus to take them for him- another reason I HAD to go to this show, I had to support Mikey!!) Normally, the bouncers would have been like- get the hell out of my face, there are a ton of photogs here. But not this guy, although he had to escort me (who cares as long as I can get the message relayed) he brough me to where i needed to go, and for the rest of the night he had my back whenever i had to go up and talk to mikey :)
The bars were packed but always had ENOUGH bartenders...what an AMAZING concept!!! The floors were always clean and the smoking area did not look like- nor was it IN- a trash can.
Great job on everyones part for this show. markus, as usual I am beyond impressed.
OHHHHHH and...we got to meet the cali TA-ers!! How great! everyone was sooooo nice!! Finally got to meet Michelle, which I have ALWAYS wanted to!! |

markus was worth a long trip!!! omgosh, of all the trips ive taken this one was farthest (for trance) and I am sooo happy i did it...and I dont blame you on ferry, i think i would too! hahah |
