I mean, the first 100-200 pages are a bit slow (like any start to a series) but it just rockets up from there. I'm telling you, grab the first one and you'll be hooked.

Heh, I'm currently re-reading Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End Of The World. Although Wind-Up Bird Chronicle is my favourite (add that to the list), Hard-Boiled is way more twisted but also melancholic. A work of a genius..
