Techno, and networking..
Really, anything that adds to/expands/challenges my concept of what music is + has a solid bass line is enough to get me to go out. So in that regard, techno, tech-house, and microhouse WIN.
Lately, glitchy, trippy, dark, bassy techno has had my full attention

Trance is aaaight too :p . Any trance events I hit up are usually for nostalgic purposes. It hasn't changed too drastically over the years... DJs like AvB still produce Robert Miles-esque tracks etc so it's not that hard to go to a Summerstage or Pier 54 every now and then and relive the past a bit. I don't think the same applies for house or techno. They've both changed quite a bit over the past decade or so. |
