Very interesting direction from Akai, they've obviously taken notice of the amount of ppl using their MPD24 to control Ableton (or I hope any midi capable program inc Serato) and build a better featured midi box.
Wonder what the price is going to be?
I personally use the excellent NanoKontrol (Korg Website) so price will be a big point for me.
[Edit] Its $/£399!!!!! [/Edit] :disbelief

For those without Ableton also there is a side by side comparison chart of the version included with the unit.

Now I'm not too sure how it compares to the LE version but it looks similar.
The limit of 8 Ableton FX per project seems very low if you include EQ and the Utility gain unit leaving with with prob only 4 other FX left!! |
