A friend was at a music conference in UK the other day where they had a Steinberg stand.
He tells me the rep said if you've recently bought Cubase 4 you will get a free upgrade to C5 |

I dont think the upgrade is free but if you recently bought C4 (on or after dec 1st i think ) you can upgrade for around £20 otherwise it will be about £170 i think.

| Was about to buy C4 aswell.. Now I think I'll wait for the EDU version of C5, looks very promising. I think they had a lot to improve from C4. |

| The best way is to buy a second hand version of Cubase Studio 4 (which I did about 3-4 months ago) for about 100 euros. you can then upgrade to C5 (full) for about 250 euros. Coming close to half price. |

| How exactly does one apply for the upgrade to C5? I got C4 ages ago, but never registered it. Maybe I can pull a swifty somehow? :P |
