That's a HUGE area....

However, most of it is High Park....

Still out but the news kept saying 10pm latest...

However, I was just told they're thinking closer to midnight now...

Lotsa babies gonna be conceived tonight...

Announcement just made that all power is fully restored...

my aunt is currently sleeping over tonight. although now at high park it seems the power has been restored. i missed class today because of the jam packed busses that were moving past the shuttle bus stop at keele station. from kipling, keele was the farthest i got before turning back. i only had 1 class and i was feeling under the weather so i said f it.

hopefully they have the power up and running again for everyone. i can only imagine how dreadful living the last 24hrs were. my relatives ended up staying over at other relatives' houses/homes.

so now those people have lived through a blackout in the sweltering heat in 2003 and now a freezing cold one in 2009. hardtimes.

Was right in the middle of it... had the worst day EVER today (at least in 2009 thus far.)

I almost woke up late because my cell phone alarm wasn't loud enough..and then I was told that the subway wasn't running. I couldn't shave so I looked like Sasquatch.. Tried to call a cab to get to work.. no luck.. apparently there was an hour wait.. So I decided to wait for a bus...nothing. Walked across Dupont trying to flag any cab in sight or catch a bus - NOPE. Ended up walking all the way to work (took about an hour) in the freezing cold. Took me more than 3 hours to defrost afterwards. Almost took an offer from my co-worker to bang her to get warm... lol.

Spent the whole day afterwards at my gran's...finally home! Ale lu iah!!

lol ya, apparently our power came back around 10pm last night... and although it wasn't a "panic" by any means, I'll still likely remember how random these last 36 hours have been for the rest of my life...

our place was 'ok' to be honest, we have a gas fireplace in the living room and we cranked it... (BUT the bedrooms aren't exactly close to said warmth lol)... like I said I wasn't in fear for my life or anything but it made for some random (VERY annoying) antics...
