Waldorf Micro Q Editor?

I just stole a Micro Q from a guy on eBay. Any of you Micro Q owners know of a good, preferably free or cheap, software editor? Soundtower makes a nice one for $50 and I've used their editors for several other synths, but I'm not sure how long I'll keep the Micro Q, so I don't want to invest that much if I don't have to.

i used soundquest midiquest when i had microQ, clavia and virus but i gave the whole up as i couldnt have the sequencer and midiquest connected on one midichannel at the same time, making it impossible to tweak the presets while having the project opened. to solve this i tried this virtual midi-joiner called midiyoke which was (imo) but you better try it yourself, someone with more patience might make this work out good. all this made REALLY disapointed in the hardware section and made me sell all my hardware. i need fast workflow. it was a pitty tho beacuse it was some really sick sounds i could make with the clavia and microQ (virus got abit too complicated and i strugled with delay).
as a last try i found out that midiquest where avaliable as VST, i then thought that the midiproblems would be solved as the editor was inside the sequencer. i couldnt make it work but u are welcome to try it.

Thanks for the reply, Palm, but Midiquest is way more than I want to spend. Besides, I don't really need it to be a VST version or accessible while my DAW is running - I mostly just want it for programming/tweaking patches.

I don't really like editors. Unless the interface is just unusable like on the Poly Evolver Rack, Virus Ti, and to a lesser extend the Poly Evolver Desktop, I'd rather just get to know the hardware interface better. It pays off in the long run.
I think the microQ might qualify as unusable, though. ;)
How about just using the demo microQ? I bet it will change the parameters and then you can just save it through the synth's interface. |

Thanks, alanzo, but I've actually decided to sell the MicroQ. It's a great synth, but with all my other new synths sitting on UPS trucks as I write this, I don't have the space or inputs to keep the MQ. ;)

hows the editor in blofeld btw?

I don't have a Blofeld.

I have a Blofeld. I haven't dived too deep into it yet, but it's not terrible. Better than you would think given the small amount of knobs. The big screen really helps... it shows graphical representations of the filters, waveforms, LFOs, etc.
