hahhaha this is funny
I have seen erphun a few times in san francisco and he was great , just cause ur not into that style dosnt make him the worst dj , he has his own unique style , if he is so bad like u said, why does john digweed, steve lawler, satoshie tommie , dave seaman etc play his tracks,

There are certainly some DJs that I dont care for either and I use to be vocal about it as well.... but if there is one positive thing ive learned from my wife is that if you can't say something nice dont say anything at all and in all honesty it has been working a lot better for me! hahaha.

At the same time you can't do anything but laugh at idiotic statements like that above... especially when its prob some bedroom wanna be thats obviosuly bitter because no one IN LA gives him or her the time of day!
There will always be haters as Steve Lawler has said before... and unfortunately that is one of the sad sides of the human nature!
I dont expect everyone to like my music... I never have and I never will!

Besides all that..... it was an INCREDIBLE night and thank you to all those that came and supported me!!! :)
Cheers

Hey Erphun,

That was a great opening set last night. You set up Satoshi perfectly :)

Satoshi killed it last night. I stayed the whole time, which I almost never do these days. In terms of track selection, he was 10x better than when I saw him in San Diego. Erphun did a proper job opening, even though Satoshi went off into his own deeper housier sound.

Had a blast last night, I was really lovin Satoshi's set.

Definitely another quality Chapter in the MNS History ! Erphun set things off nicely and Satoshi took things onwards and upwards.
Great to hear some deep house flavor at the start. The social is LA's longest running night for a reason, great to see everyone out !

I must disagree. Every time I have seen Erphun either Falcon, Nacional, Blue Velvet or King King he has made me dance non-stop. Throws down sick tracks.

Even throws in a Googoosh remix ;)

Musical tastes aside, saying erphun is the worst DJ in LA is a bit of a stretch.

There are people literally incapable of beatmatching playing out in this town...

How many LA DJ's actually produce tracks that are played worldwide?

sadly the same people exist in sf, and probably every city in the world. hell there's people out there who can't use cd or vinyl calling themselves djs and landing club residencies. like i said, the guy really should get out more...

while that says something about producing skill and/or popularity, it doesn't really count for much in the mixing ability column.
