Yep I think we're getting there. Not as poppy, though.
A.R. Rahman is a good place to start. I don't know much, but he's pretty sweet.
dimadelux
this song is awesome imo

Very nice indeed. His stuff seems kind of slow though. The song I heard must have been around the low-mid 120's and was really housey. Lot's of vocals and repetition as well.

BPM might not be 140, but it's pretty banging in my opinion.

I really like that song, the intro with that song and the kids running was just amazing I thought.
I do not however... like the M.I.A lyrics. :(

So true. Although I fail to see the relevance.
However you may want to ask yourself the same question. WTF is wrong with you? Calling AR Rahman a n00b producer, demonstrates a sizable level of ignorance, apathy or both.

It works in the movie very well.
Indian music is sweet because they use different scales; in the movie it is mostly indian rap (what's it called? is that bhangra? whatever.)
I dropped cid once and played some indian music intermixed with psytrance... blew my mind.

Ha i dont remember 1 second of this movie i was blazed less ha. Gotta admit tracks posted by Lebezniatnikov & dimadelux are pretty damn nice.
I agree also with DJ Shibby, elements of indian music mixed with some dance tracks comes out amazing. I have some stunning indian music on my computer off of some of my dads old CDs. Some of them are very similiar to this. One is particurlarly good, yet tagged up wrong. Ill put the track name up here when i find out if anyone wants.
