The fine print:

Free parking only in the lot right next to Circus, or pay $10 in the other lot like I did last weekend.

Although the "free drink" picture shows a martini, if you have one of those it will be full price.
Only beer and soft drinks were free last Saturday.

I don't mind all of this too much since Vanguard charges $20 for $15 advertised parking, but why can't businesses just advertise the truth these days? I'll still go, but will be prepared to pay for some of the free things this time... :wtf:

To give Circus credit where credit is due though, they let everyone who was in line by 11 p.m. in for free. The line moved kinda slow since they were back to taking email addresses, but at least it wasn't a front for making people miss the guestlist. :)

Yes, give credit where credit is due, indeed.

I don't know how they could possibly be making money doing these freebies, but I won't be complaining. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

See you guys there. Hooray.

It was that same way the week before. I too had to pay. I'm hoping to arrive earlier this Saturday so I can catch a Free parking spot. ;)

It was that same way the week before. Sorry if the pic shows a martini. I guess someone doesn't know their drinks. I'll contact them and ask if they can re-do the flyer minus the martini. :p

How is Circus making money giving away all these free promos week after week? Just curious :toocool:

because they are doing it on their own with no promoters...what they earn from the door is just a bonus froom what they earn on drink sales...

but do remember that nikita was the one who did these bookings...hopefully the DJ quality stays the same...

the real test is the longetivity of this business model...you never know, once they capture a significant number of emails to populate their database, then you never know whats going to become different...

Yes, much as the music industry is finally realizing that they need to adopt a free or "close to free" business model in order to survive (which really isn't free since it's loaded with advertising), this would be a great idea for clubs. Out with the freakin $20 parking and $25 cover, and in with convenient free entry!

It might seem counter-intuitive at first, but which is better:

(A) A club that has high parking and cover with 50 people inside, or

(B) free parking and cover with a packed dance floor?

Since with 50 people inside everyone's too depressed to drink, the answer is B! :D

free cover almost always with guestlist sign ups
No need to park due to mass transit being so extensive
many open bar events, or "vodka tastings" etc
