I drank a lot of beer in the past now switched to straight hard liquor but its just not the same doing just shots so I need some low calorie drinks suggestions. thanx :toothless |

| I think Cranberry juice is the best mix, calorie and health wise, other than water. |

read a few responses...didn't notice anyone mention it so I will...
despite hearing numerous times that alcohol breaks down in your body into sugar, and sugar into fat etc...
apparantely thats not true. The number one reason alcohol is associated with weight gain
*drumroll*
is because people eat ass greasy unhealthy food when they are drunk or hungover. Also alcohol increases your hunger *before hangovers*
another reason is genetic. Alcohol inhibits "the fat burning process" in some people (can't bother to google the term for it) and so all that greasy ass crap you eat goes straight to your ass.
Also diabetics have some issue with drinking as well. It's an insulin thing.
anyways there is a zero calorie vodka (apparantely) out there but it's really expensive.
Good luck and drink responsibely :toothless |

water dilutes the drink with minimal effect on flavour of the booze. Watering down straight liquor is an excellent way to turn 20 drinkis into 10...and combat dehydration at the same time:toothless
Good luck and drink responsibly |

again alcohol does NOT break down into sugar then fat...it digest into something I think is called acetate and ingests throught the intestines directly to the blood or whatever google it AJ.
then again Im not up to par on canada's labeling laws but I think I remeber if a product is under a certain amount of calories it can be labeled as '0' cal so you do have a point.
regardless!!!! vodka or "zero vodka" is probably your best choice.
This also comes from experience as I have many relatives who drink more vodka than my friends do beer and are many decades older (slower metabolism and zero excercise) yet have a fraction of the beer belly.
Good luck and drink responsibly :toothless |
