Ok so heres my set up and heres my problem ..

Setup

I running logic 8 on a mac and have 2 motu sound modules and a desk, I have all the output on my two motu's running directly into my desks line's giving me 16 channels of stereo output in total which are all visable in logic 8 ! 1-2, 3-4 etc

The Problem !

I have just finished a track and want to record it, I have used all the available output channels for various parts of the track .. in logic when you bounce it will only record channels 1-2. I was once in contact with a studio engineer who had a similar setup as me and he told to create a seperate audio channel run two leads from the inputs 1-2 on the motu and into the desk ( I dont know were in the desk ! ) .. then on the audio channel that i created for recording disable the output so its only reading the input and then record using the record function on logic tool bar at the bottom.

This in therory sounds correct and i have witnessed him recording tracks like this numerious times ! But for some reason I can get this to work, does anyone know how to sort this out or how to records multiple ouputs in logic i.e record the entire track in one audio channel as it plays in realtime ?

This has been doing my head in for months ! I have two tracks finished and can't record them !

I'm not in contact with the mentioned studio engineer above so can't ask him !

Thanks .. any help is appreciated ! :)
