hence why you ensure that justice system actually works, instead of half assed one we got now

you kill someone, and dude is guilty, stick him in jail for rest of his natural life. none of this releasing him after 5 yrs for good behaviour bull

educate the people. gun crimes are not cool.

oh, and make jalls unpleasant that you have NO FUN while being a guest in one of the prisons. means no fracking internet porn or TV in cells

really.

after all that, and if you are still willing to kill someone with a gun, you deserve to be eliminated from the gene pool for being too stupid.

i've never been there, but after hearing couple of testimonies and some videos about canadian military prison, i know i never want to visit such unpleasant place.
there's no beating involved. but it's not a fun place to be

When is it NOT the year of the gun?

It's awful to hear of this happening but it's no longer a surprise.

It is a surprise...it isn't often someone gets SHOT on a subway platform downtown. Bus in Scarborough, yes...downtown, no.

Just like Stephen Colbert once when said...

The death penalty is the only reason why I don't murder someone...

lol. canada does not have death penalty

the actual process of trying to execute someone in US is higher than cost of keeping a prisoner in jail for life (cost of appeals, court csts, lawyer cost, etc)

then there are chances of executing a wrongfully convicted person

and death is a bit too final. like if a dude doesnt give a damn, he'd accept death as a final outcome, because he'd suffer no more

but life in an unpleasant prison... that would not be fun

I pass thru that station twice a week....Imagine if guns were legal how bad it would be then? :whip:

if you think that shootings have anything to do with the legality of guns then you're wrong. the people running around shooting each other have never been legitimate gun owners using legally registered guns. it is always hoodlums buying guns off the street. no matter how we modify our gun laws it will never stop the shootings.
