Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone

VS

Rapper

Legit song, heard it at a radio, and at a club. Not just mixed like I had hoped when I first heard.

You mean Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone.

Wow, never thought I would correct something like that.

The only one who truly loses is the guy rapping in the video.

The lyrics aren't even that good! We should take a mainstream techno instrumental and spit some rhymes, yo.

Lest we not forget P.Diddy/Diddy/Puff Daddys (or what ever) disgraceful attempt at electronic a few years back.

Should have been sent to the ing Hague for that monstrosity :stongue:

well I don't care for the words but if the bg music is that good then that is fine with me.

I think a good example of rap music with electronica added is ice box by OMARION. The music in the BG sounds decent other than the words on top of it.

PS. Alice deejay - better off alone sounds like an americanized version of eurodance music. Sounds decent and does not need words. A step above the vengaboys :thepirate

Icebox has always been a favorite of mine for that reason. That song, I believe is produced by Timbaland.
A lot of Timbaland's tracks seem to be heading in an electronic direction and I LOVE it.
He did most of Justin Timberlake's new album (you can say what you want, I hate the dude but that album was pretty good) and it had a ton of electronic sound to it. His list is in the thousands of songs he's produced and hundreds of those have made it to Billboard top 40. Most of those having electronica bg music.
He's pretty legit, IMO.

I'd totally listen to For A Drive-By or This is the Time of my Glock.
