the answer is simple; because you are out and want to have a good time.
with your logic why pay $6-7 for a drink at the bar when you can buy a bottle at the lcbo for $25 and make yourself drinks at home then?
as for all the people that bitch about pictures of people drinking from the bottle, everyone has fun in their own way. some people want pictures of them dancing while others want pictures with their friends. to each their own. who are you to burst their bubble? |

Went to Pacific Mall last night for the festivities.
Some really bad singing, some awesome Kung Fu, and Lion Dancing.
Even got some bubble team! (only ever get it once a year) |

i was at market village for dinner so i stayed for a little bit of the show there afterwards and experienced some really bad singing and horrible PA system. i wanted to stay long enough to see the lion dance but i had to leave after the girl's third song. |
