Beatport 4.0 Problem - Missing artwork???

Hi there. I've been using BP for years now... pretty mcuh a great service (obviously everything can always be better, but). So I just came across something new that I think is related to the new roll-out of the new platform/music now downloading with artwork already attached to the MP3s.

I recently downloaded "Van Riel & Huinink - Sunrise" (both original and Topher Jones) as well as "DJ Eco - American Blues / Dazed & Confused". I bought/downloaded these both after the new BP 4.0 rollout, thus they had artwork attached to them.

The files were fine at first. My routine is to add them to my iTunes library (were I edit the ID3 tags to my liking). Then I run them through Serato Scratch Live to build overviews (this detects the BPM for me and assigns that to the ID3 tag). Finally I analyze the file through Mixed In Key, again adding the information to the ID3 tag.

After all of that I refresh the ID3 tags in iTunes (select them, hit command + I, then hit enter). iTunes then rescans all of the tags and the proper information now shows up (including BPM and key).

Only problem is now the artwork is missing. I tried to manually add it (as I used to do before BP 4.0) but when I do this now no artwork will "attach" to the MP3 file. It's as if I never tried to just add the artwork.

Any ideas?

Is no one else experiencing this? Any of the post-BP 4.0 release tracks I download (i.e. the ones that now come with artwork) eventually lose their artwork after I run them through Serato and Mixed In Key. Now I can't even add artwork BACK to the MP3s manually... Pretty annoying.

Any ideas?

Was able to pinpoint the issue... the new BP MP3s have ID3 tags v2.4. By converting the tags to v2.3 FIRST, and then running them through Serato and Mixed In Key has solved the issue of having the artwork disappear from within iTunes (the artwork would still show up in Serato before, but not in iTunes/iPhone/iPod).

Convert the ID3 tags to v2.3!!! :)

dunno then, sorry. could be the new code with BP 4.0. i've noticed other things too, like when you've previewed a track, and it stops, but then you edit the search box and hit enter/return not only will your search begin but the previewed track will start to play again.
