It's a great instrument with a great sound. I know it can be a bit of a cliche for psychedelic or, more patronisingly, "Eastern" moods, but I still really enjoy hearing it. I'm not particularly after Indian classical music because that might be a bit much for me (although I would like to get into it), but anything electronic, ambient or film-scorish with sitars would be much appreciated. I was watching a BBC nature documentary recently and the score used sitars heavily. Anything in that vein would be great too.
