i know, i know! this is not my usual genre,
but i decided to play around with omnisphere
(also dimension pro is strongly present here)
and a bunch of sweet loops i found and here
is what i came up with.
it's kind of a hybrid between ambient/downtempo/tribal sounds.
feedback would be greatly appreciated since
i am fairly 'noobish' to this genre of music.
still i gave it my shot and the Atmotion 'vibe'---

This is really nice. When the beat kicked in it started to remind me of The Orb, with the slow beat and those percs.
I think the percs could use some more stereo width, maybe some really panned hi-hats in there (Orb style, heh). I like the pad sounds you used, and the "chirp" synth sound that runs throughout.
I actually have something sort of like this (ambient + slow four to the floor beat) in the works, but I haven't completed it yet. |

Taking a listen at the moment, noticed the begining sound doesnt come out so clear, could be my old rockit 5's but just putting that out there,
also when the bassdrum comes in heavy, its quite loud, maybe you could sidechain or use some other method to keep its power instead of boosting the vol, it takes away from the effect of the ambiance,
just make sure you can listen from beginning to end at the same volume on whatever player you use, i was going to turn it down but if you want your tracks to be played by a dj or just enjoyed more i encourage seeing what you can do
I enjoyed the intro and outro but i got that unclear sound again at the end,
Looking forward to hearing more, and All the best |
