Sure, let's get Captain Ron Paul to save us, remove the federal government, and pay back trillions of dollars by seceding ourselves into 50 states.

We have a big government, tell me something I don't ing know, but Bush has been spending our money in all the wrong places. The banks failed, and that was their fault. Now we need to invest in new opportunities, energy conservation, environmental problems, and alternative fuel (which will create jobs in the process), remove stem cell bans, and stop sending all our dollars to Iraq, which is exactly what the President is doing.

Try to run our country better. If you were in his shoes, what would you do?

I'm not too familiar with the stimulus package...but isn't it true the more money you make the more money you received while those who earn less got less money?

Is that right?

There is some truth in your post. This whole notion of 'spending more' to 'make/earn more' applies to this theory on paper. According to president Obama, this recovery and reinvestment plan will provide immediate relief to states, workers, and families who are bearing the brunt of this recession. To get people spending again, 95% of working families will receive a $1,000 tax cut – the first stage of a middle-class tax cut that he promised during the campaign.

The stimulus package will also go to the improvement of infrastructure such as Education, Transportation and other assets.

For example, Illinois stands to receive at least $22.3 billion in tax cuts and increased spending in Barack Obama’s $825 billion economic stimulus package.

Federal Funds Information for States, an organization that studies federal spending, estimated that Illinois will get a one-time influx of $1 billion for highways from the stimulus.

According to the U.S. House Committee on Labor and Education, the Springfield School District will get $6.4 million for school construction alone.

CAP estimates that Illinois will get $2.8 billion in education funding from the package. That money will go toward grants for higher education, elementary and secondary education funding, and toward school infrastructure.

CNN can suck it! To some people that's a landslide win. It is a radical move if you ask me.

It is also important to note that this is not the final stimulus as some things will be eliminated according to most important (e.g: education) to least important (e.g: HIV, Sexual Transmitted disease awareness & support etc).

I'd listen to the people's voices across this nation and uphold my duty to provide to the people of this nation.

person(s) A all say, "OMG THAT'S STUPID"
person(s) B all say, "OMG IT'S AMAZING"

and we're right back to square one.

So what happens when they realise that this $819 billion package has done nothing to stop the current slow down?

Hopefully the economy will be boosted by massive surpluses in twinkies, cheetos, and McDonalds.

In all reality, how badass would it be to have hundreds of pot factories across the country? Go up to the gas station and ask for some Marlboro Mids, or Chronics if that's what you're into.
