His track selection is what made him standout, but as he got more and more popular, his fanbase got more mainstream and so there went his amazing track selection because he plays for what the crowd wants. We are a small minority, so we don't get what we want when we go see him. :( That's why he's not worth $100+ unless you go see him somewhere special dropping an extended set where he gets the chance to play what he wants, not just what the kids want to hear.

Pat, you hit it on the nose. Mixing...not so much. Variety and song selection. I am with you. Thats the main reason why I still enjoy him. The songs he chooses are truly amazing trance anthems. And yes, in an extended set (not just an hour) I find that he kills it. I have been listening to Pod casts lately and I do like what I hear always new and the throw back.

Ok guys dont bash me, its just my oppinion.
Dekan
Tiesto threw in the towel after Urban Train and Flight 643.

Really sucks that they are throwing 3 great trance parties all the same night, and most other nights have little if any trance selection

True that bro I agree with that statement 100% but his mixing was actually decent when he was at his prime. Nyana was mixed really well and one of my favorites. I like ISOS 4-5 also.

dude the mixing in isos5 was TERRRRRRRIBLE! his worst one imho. personally i like 3 and 6 the best.

i just wish tiesto would come out with another in the magik series. that would be insane. :eyespop:

honestly... i really like club life because he plays he wants to play. yea i know the 15 mins of fame is gay as hell and crap, but that radio show is waaaaay beyond the quality of asot in my eyes. asot is just an excuse for armin to say "hey guys! im the coolest, look at the new records i got sent this week! im not going to play them in any sort of order that makes any sense because you guys dont care anyway! you just want to suck my dick because i get all the new tracks first! yippee!" :p
