SILKSMP001_Silk Sampler #1

Silk Digital presents a second sampler release in 2009 - now it's a selection of the best Silk artist's tracks. It opens with a great, full of melodical features, outstanding piano improvisation, flowing rhythm house track of one of well-known house producers nowadays - Claes Rosen. Next to come up is a much deeper, melancholic work of Invisible Sounds presenting his new project - Domestic Technology, following by Arthur Deep's classical progressive house tune and Mango's new project - Shoreliners track, that bring more melodic and light sound to all of his fans. The fifth track with some really actual beats was brought to you by our upcoming talents - Playton & Deeman. Right after them you can enjoy an awesome club-storming stuff from UK duo - Solarity! The rest two work ending this compilation come from Monojoke, who made an unusual for him but really successful experiment in breaks genre and also an epic breaks tune from Aeron Aether and Elfsong's duo, that reminds of Sasha & James Holden's "Bloodlock". Don't miss this absolutely different but the same in one - its high quality sound compilation...

One of the best progressive releases I've heard in years from any label, including mine! :) I'm a little jealous, but mostly thrilled that there are still so many artists keeping the spirit of true progressive alive! Hook me up with some remixes!!!

My absolute fav from the compilation is Elfsong & Aeron Aether - Kaivalya. Its a really nice progbreak tune. I also like 'Terminal 6' and 'Every Sunset'

No doubt about the fact that Silk is one of the leading quality prog-labels these days.
All tracks on this sampler are breathtaking and unique in their own way.
What also is a great thing that this sampler contains a few breakbeat tracks.
Good to see that Silk also represent this style.
Anyway it is really hard to choose a favourite track here.
If I need to make a top 3 it would be look like this:
Solarity - Terminal 6 (original mix) (dancefloor hit for sure)
Elfsong & Aeron Aether - Kaivalya (original mix) (the beatstructure and melodies in this track is ACE!!.. Golden duo.)
Arthur Deep - Burning memories (original mix) (can't get enough of this guy his music).

Claes Rosén - Glancing
I have got to say; this track really made me smile when I heard it for the very first time. Genius job by Claes here, love it to bits. Especially that piano solo that sounds rather jazzy, great stuff!
Invisible Sounds pres. Domestic Technology - Crystalisation
Great track with some nice grooves and lovely piano melodies - Invisible Sounds's new project sounds very promising!
Arthur Deep - Burning Memories
Lovely sound scape again from Arthur, and the beat is great - this track is indeed very enjoyable.
Mango pres. Shoreliners - Every Sunset
Great atmosphere (as usual) in this track, and the stunning vocal sample makes this track an incredibly beautiful tune. Top stuff.
Playton & Deeman - Rain
The 132 BPM make this track the fastest one on this sampler, and the melodies are great - very powerful tune!
Solarity - Terminal 6
Starts off quite melodic, and the rather fat bassline in this track is immense. Personally I haven't heard this style from Solarity before, but I
really like it!
Monojoke - Digital Illusion
Strong breaks accompanied by sweet melodies create a great cocktail, nice stuff from Monojoke here.
Elfsong & Aeron Aether - Kaivalya
Another great breaks tune with very enjoyable melodies.
All in all a very strong release, great job guys!
