| James Lavelle, label manager of Mo' Wax and member of UNKLE will be responsible for the next GU mix. Fabric resident DJ Lavelle recently completed the first mix in the Fabric Live series and is now ready to take up the Global Underground challenge in Barcelona this summer. The release of GU023 is estimated to take place sometime in the autumn. |

Where'd you hear this rumour?...cos i dont see James Lavelle fitting under the Global Underground style, just my opinion :)

| 2 do a GU series...you need mad crodentials (i hope i spelled it right) and need to be well known in the community. So i would doubt it. |

Yeah if I'm thinking of the right guy, James Lavelle's got a sound that's too housey for the GU series, so I'd treat this claim with a bit of skepticism.
The rumours are Sasha - Mexico (also the rumour for GU 22) or Nick Warren - Iceland (the most likely of all the rumours).
Steve Lawler is doing a CD for GU, but not the main series. They're starting a new spin off series (like the NU-Breed / Prototype ones) called something like "turn out the light" and Lawler's doing the first of them.
But yeah. The intrigue continues. :) |

Lawler has already finsihed his first Lights out Album, and from what ive heard its amazing. I doubt Lavelle would do a GU becasue he's part of fabric, plus the styles are much different. Fabric is way more underground, deeper techy style house.

I heard that Warren would do the next GU in Island.

Well i just got the GlobalUnderground email in my inbox, and it's true. James Lavelle will be doing the next GU in Barcelona. Should be interesting :)
