Yeah, the smell is probably cuz Mixx is a Sushi restaurant before it turns into a club after 10pm i think. |

Excuse this if this doesn't tell you what you wanted to know about the night, as I drank a ton of red bull last night and really haven't slept that much. :eyespop:
Fun times last night at Mixx. So glad to see PvD wear his black t-shirt because every time he wears it, he gives you a banging set (started off with Simon Patterson - Thump and went off from there). Good energy throughout. Looked like people were having an awesome time and it was fairly crowded. And thanks a bunch to Tom Colontonio and his Mrs. for getting me to rip it with them in PvD's VIP the whole night!
DeComp - not sure what that smell was. I think they haven't done sushi at Mixx for a while now. I was about to rage on the guy next to me at the bar because I thought he ripped one.
However, I still enjoyed his recent Roseland Ballroom set much more, as it was longer (he only played for about 3 hours at Mixx). The near-$60 cover charge actually made it difficult to decide if I was gonna go or not, but since the slots have been good to me, I was able to make the decision to go. Also, the opener (not sure who it was) wasn't that good and was on the trainwreck express. Lastly, PvD didn't get to stay around after his set. After his last track, he got his and basically ran out of there (think his manager rushed him out). I still have never gotten a pic with PvD. :(
Anyone else have reviews? |

I had PvD clockd at 2.5 hours of playing time. he started at 12:30 and ended around 3am.
PvD looked like one of those business men at the airports who are in rush cause i saw him and his mgr bolt out there soooo fast that i think Carl Lewis couldn't catch em.
Great time though...
the thing i love about seeing DJs at MixX is that its a classy venue.. |

| Great to see Paul play a new venue. It was rather small, but when he came on, as usual, the sound magically jumped up 10 notches. The set left MUCH to be desired. This was basically a carbon copy of the Trance Energy set last week. Underwhelming to say the least. In a way it just felt like a showcase of his most played records this month. I look forward to another 6 hour banger that offers some creativity and emotion. However - it was great to roll out of the MIXX and not have to drive home!! |

Silly muppets, everyone knows PvD has been in it only for the money for at least last 6 or so years. Last time he banged it out proper was the last time he touched vinyl, without ableton.

Where u get all this stupid information??? Pvd is the best dj at this time!!! Just don't go to his venues and stop saying "i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo done with him."
Go to AVB or tiesto venus and listen the music!!! |
