rich, i went outside for a smoke and got offered a ride to a cab so i kinda bolted out of there quick in the rain (9:30ish maybe?). thanks for the ride offer though, felt bad about not getting back in there to let you know...

Thanks. And agree with you on Damian, he had SO MUCH going on! I remember getting inside and seeing the booth set up with a ton of gizmos! Oh man, 9:30ish? Sounds so fraking epic even with the rain! Guessing this will beat out Dan Bell at the com# from November?

| i was commenting on how every dj i hear play at the compound manages to drop the best set i've heard out of him. it really is the perfect forum for underground djs imo. three and lazarus were no exception! three is obviously a great dj/person and most people i knew went to hear him and were thoroughly impressed, but let's talk about lazarus for a second... i heard him at vessel once before and he never left much of an impression on me there--neither did three though when he played there. probably because both came on a thursday and the club didn't fill or stay filled. but wow, when damian hit the decks running and took off for about 6 hours, i heard a completely different dj in action and i was loving it. as friends began leaving the compound early, i was like wtf are you all doing??? i couldn't bring myself to leave until the music stopped. when it got bright outside and the space inside cleared out, the music and people remaining got more comfortable and the vibe took on a different life. it was a very intimate party by the end. definitely one of the top 2 compound experiments in my book. it's just unfortunate that more people weren't around to bear witness to the final hours. as always, it was nice to have the la crew come up for this. gil, sorry about the text, it hadn't occurred to me that you left because of that. greg, no worries, good seeing you out. schneider, good job getting your ass kicked by a steel railing! :haha: :toothless |

Another EPIC com# experience. :crazy: Musically wise it was the best I have heard there. Three was dope and Lazarus took it to another level. The effects he was using were :eyes: :eyespop: Especially when he was using the mic! ing sick ass night.

EPIC PARTY! The music was top notch - loved every minute of it! After getting clotheslined by the metal beam, we returned to the party for a few hours, but the bleeding wouldn't stop so I had to leave. :/

| One of the best parties I've ever been to. Three caught the vibe by 1am, setting up Lazarus perfectly. Damian's first hour was some of the best dance music I have ever heard, dark, heavy and spaced out. I did stay till the very end this time. :) |
