Your Space Terrace experiences...

So it looks like I can't miss the Viva Vs. Cadenza party on the space terrace...
Based on everyone's past experiences, what is the best time to go if I want to be there for peak time terrace action. PS: When is peak time terrace action? And what time does the terrace open? |

You got 2 separate parties going on, Lawler probably wont play till 3:30 unless he is playing for 4 hrs which is unlikely with so many artists. He probably will play again at like 9 am or go head to head with some one......
If you don't mind hanging at space from 12 till 10am , then get there early as the place will get to capacity by 3am to 4am. So No one allowed in or probably up or down.
But it is thursday night and the last time he did his party there on a thursday with get Physical on the terrace it didn't get packed.. That was 4 years ago I believe.
I will be showing up around 4am ish to 5am ish.....If I can't get in then its to packed for me even to have a good time I believe.
BUT SPACE is SPACE, best sound, best crowd/energy etc... Best club in Miami if not the US.... |

I always enjoy the Terrace..
My best experiences have involved getting there for around midnight and getting comfortable on the Terrace.
Nothing beats the early morning... like 6-10ish.
Arriving any time after 2 or 3 am can be a pain. The fire marshal usually holds the lines at that point. So you could get stuck in a line outside and then again once you get inside.
If the Terrace is at capacity then it can be like cattle trying to get up there.
So to avoid all that stress I suggest getting there early and just enjoying who ever is up there. The Terrace opens when Space does... |

My opinion on Space
2005:
- Waited outside for Tiesto/Sanchez for 2+ hours...never got in...got shoved by people outside...yelled at by fire marshall...needless to say i said it and didnt go back the next night for pvd/sander/ferry and went to Radio 1 instead
2006:
- Got there 1015 for Armin/Schulz/Picotto...took everyones advice...was never that packed that night...Terrace didnt open till later 2 am/3 am...I was pretty trashed and i was surprised at how dark the Terrace was....
- Got there for PVD/Sander K early...packed by 1230 am...fell asleep pn speaker box from sheer exhaustion...went to all four corners of the bar for drinks and madeit up very easily to the Terrace around 530/6 and stayed there for a couple hours until friends said lets go....(i didnt want to leave)
2007
- Got in relatively easy for Morillo/Guetta...main room was packed when Morillo came on and terrace was 1/2 full while Guetta was spinning Terrace and then it POUREDDDDDDD...puddles came off the roof covering and would drip on the crowd...left while Felix was on...couldnt stand it...near impossible to get out of the place bc it was FULL AS ...half the people trying to stay dry...half the people trying to get on the terrace

- Wed got to Space around 5 am...no line to get in...walked right on up to Terrace...talked to Manny 7 Ammora...we took over to corner...decided to dip and checked out Sci Tec...Manny texts us..."its getting full" run back to Space and it was nightmare with a cattle of people pushing to go up...once up great vibe
- Thu Walked into space at 7 am with ease...main room semi full...Terrace walked right up...pretty full for Guetta...BEST PARTY EVER...
- Fri got there around 1230...walked in with ease....main room full...PVD came on about 25 min later...got so packed that once i went upstairs...i was not allowed back downstairs to main room....PVD was playing on both 1st floor and 2nd floor inside room...Terrace didnt open till 130ish...then it got full around 330 4 am...stayed till 930 am and it was still full for Sander K

id love to chekc it out for a bit bc it is the best place to party
the sound is clear/ the staff and drinks are great / and there s always a vibe
but for PVD nite...get there by 1130/12 to be safe...the fire marshall can be your worst enemy |

it was a little different when i went to morillo in 06 and sander in 07. they didnt open the patio till around 2:30 - 3.
when i went to afterhours to see sander, i got there around 330, no line, walked straight in, through the main room where pvd was playing, upstairs to the patio and where sander k. was playing one of the best sets ive ever heard in my life.
i wouldnt recommend getting there any later than 4-430 b/c ppl will be leaving the clubs in sobe to go to afterhours at space. so there will prob be a line.
this year im getting there around 12 cause mark knight is a ing badass and should not be missed, specially a space main room set. im not sure who will be playing the sunrise slot outside. prob the king of the terrace!!!!
plus, like dekan said....when you got one of the best main room systems in the world bumping, youre gonna have a good time. :D

My feelings exactly. Sad I won't be able to re-live a Marco V/Eric Pydz/David Guetta night/morning/afternoon.
Wasn't really feeling Morillo Thursday morning even though I'm a big Morillo fan. (Prob got too messed up @ Sanchez @ Mansion right before)
With the lineup this year. I may consider Saturday night/Sunday morning w/ Sharam and Cedric.
But then again I'll prob see Sharam and Cedric @ Wet Republic in Vegas Memorial weekend. |

| Terrace is the best spot hands down for me in Miami, and the US. Last year they didnt open it until 330ish last year for Sander K and Patch Park which sucked. Hopefully its open for Lawler early. |

both times i've been have been tons of fun, amazing vibe, great music, i love it, no major drama, last year, i got there pretty early and walked right up and in, no problems. seriously looking forward to seeing lawler up there if that is indeed where he lands.
got to see him on the space terrace in ibiza, so space miami would feel great too :tongue2 |

2005... waited outside space for 2 hours after getting there at 11:30pm. waited in the front room (now vip) for another 1.5 hours. waited in the mainroom for another hour. finally got to the terrace around 4am. all i wanted was sander k. and he rocked it. around 9am it was no problem going back to the mainroom. didnt try before then. :p
2008... no problems going from sander or ferry mainroom to paolo mojo or prydz on the terrace. went back and forth a couple times.
honestly... for me... wmc terrace is just way too crowded. :( 05 with sander, he killed it so it was worth it. obviously seen the terrace many other times non-wmc, and its usually a good time. just dont forget the shades. :toocool: |

| ive had some great times at space, but i do preffer the main room when its not as packed, or the terrace just at night.. terrace early morning vibe just gets a little too hectic for me.. seen some really wild there.. some of the terrace sets can change ur musical life though |
