Insane party. We got there, couldn't figure out which door it was so we knocked on door number that was listed online. Sure enough the door opens and smoke pours out and there was a crowded stairwell of people waiting to get in. I'm paying at the table and I hear a crowd going nuts and Green Velvet's "Flash" coming in, Nigel Richards was on.

He basically banged it for 2-3 hours and the place was going nuts. It was an industrial warehouse whose main floor was about the size of Webster Hall's, but slightly bigger. It was about 75% packed at its peak, which was perfect, and the lighting and sound was phenomenal. You could smell weed on every inch of the dancefloor and the stairwells were the smoking areas, it was packed with really friendly people.

Oddly enough there were a lot of hot girls that didn't look like what you'd think a warehouse party's crowd would look like. Everyone was having a blast and bugging out and I brought about 10 noobies, who were ALLLLLL going nuts. One of them couldn't believe how amazing it was. He truly understood electronic music for the first time. It was awesome to see them bugging out, and a good 4 or 5 from my crew couldn't believe they've ever been happy going to places like Pacha and Mansion, when parties like this are out there in the world to be found in the underground. We were all there with our mouths wide open song after song. Sick vibes, although I heard there were two fights, but I didn't see anything. The visuals were top notch, and the sound was jacked to the max!!!!!!

Here's some videos (there's 10, still uploading):

Going to this on March 7th after Ronski Speed, for afterhours. It's a monthly!!!!!

This e was nuts! A bit shady at times but that's half the fun of it, pretty "anything goes", my friends who usually go to Pacha and Mansion couldn't believe it... One of them got frisked and had a bag of bud on him. The bouncer asked him if it was bud, he said yes, and the bouncer gave it back to him and said "enjoy".

:eyespop: :eyespop: <--- warehouse party.

Not sure how late it went to. It was advertised until 10AM, I left at 4AM though, I had a meeting at work later on that morning lol... There were bouncers checking everyone, presumably just for weapons. So nothing like that would be going down there. To be honest, I'm more scared about the city spots and people shooting up or stabbing up there!! Of course there's a shady quality to it, but that's what makes it fun to an extent. There were girls dressed for the city and girls with UFOs, there were dudes with durags and dudes dressed in jeans and a tshirt or flannel. So there really was a wide range of people, I didn't totally see it as a "rave" so to speak.

Like I said, my boys who are Victor Calderone, Boris, Pacha heads (and also go to a lot of trendy hip hop spots) were having the sickest time, so obviously it wasn't anything tooooo wierd.

Some of the ravers on the raver forums were complaining about "bad vibes" and a bad crowd, but I think it was a warehouse party more than it was a "rave" so people weren't there with smiles all over and candy wristbands talking to everyone about peace and love, people were more just getting down to the music and down for the grittiness of it all. That's my take, in light of the ravers being a bit dissapointed. There were a lot of NYU kids there that one of the people we were with knew all of them haha... Also, a lot of people that were obviously from the Williamsburg area, so I could see why ravers were a bit "mehhh", it wasn't what they expected. It was what I expected though!

Also a lot of the ravers were complaining about the music. I guess Nigel Richards wasn't "ravy" enough for them but to anyone on this forum, I think his set woulda been considered TOP effin NOTCH. He ripped it with dirty techno, reminded me of Chris Liebing at Rebel. The guy after him was laying down dirty breaks, it was sickkk... I'm guessing the drum-n-bass guys came on after I left because that's when the raver message boards are saying was sick... Different strokes, I guess.

The Candy kiddies should stop ing whining and enjoy the music.
