We Are Scientists - After Hours (mezzir rmx)

I was working on this one for a few weeks and for whatever reason it just kinda got put on the back burner, but it feels pretty ready as it stands now. Trying to channel Jacques du Cont on this one, insofar as I didn't do anything radically different than the original, but rather did it so as to make the original truly shine in a dance setting. Still a few parts I'm not 100% sold on yet but I figure rather than identify those I'll wait and see if other people share my opinion or if no one notices them and I'm just nitpicking.

Original's great, and that band is fantastic, Akiva from The Lonely Island (the group responsible for SNL's digital shorts) has directed all their videos to date and is the reason I got into the band in the first place. I'd highly recommend checking out their original stuff.
As always, any/all feedback, no matter how hate-filled, is appreciated as long as its what you actually think of my work :)

I think its pretty good. All I'd say is... maybe make the kick a little stronger? Just a tad tho... sounds just a wee bit muddy. And maybe bring the vocals out just a tad too.
Other than that, I think its pretty cool! I'd play it. I'm a big fan of We Are Scientists and I liek what you've done here. |

I'll look into the kick, and I really don't know if bringing the vocals out more is possible. I'm not working with an acapella, I've just EQ'ed the original to ing hell, just making do with what I've got :/ |

| Ok I gotcha, if I may make one more suggestion - I tried mixing with the track just for s ad gigs... is there a way you could add a few bars of just the kick and hihat before the guitar comes in? |
