Soma on Queen St East is a great little place, although not near the downtown core (Queen/DVP).
We used to throw great parties there, hold about 130 out looks busy with 30-40. The owners are great guys and there's a nice DJ table setup already (bring equipment). |

my buddy had his b-day bash @ Green room a while ago on a Sat night, booked the whole 2nd floor and it was rammed, but they were playing their own (pop) music, not sure about the DJ thing though.
Another place That I've been to (with private DJ+ music + whole shebang) is Glam studio (@ Harbord + Ossington) and it's an awesome venue for a b-day party:
