Baseball and steroids

Not sure if anyone is as sick of this as I am, but I was curious as to your thoughts on this issue. I think what makes sports so great is that the way each sport is played today is very similar to the way it was when created. This cannot be said for just about anything else in life. The reason this is so important is that this has to occur if comparisons among individual players/teams is to be possible.
In my opinion, this steroid issue is compromising the sport and something drastic is necessary. I say ban every current player that has tested positive for steriods at any point in their professional career from the game FOR LIFE! Also, make them ineligible for the hall of fame. Simple fines or suspensions is obviously not working. ya the game might take a hit for a few years but in the long run players will learn to compete based on hard work and not reliance on foreign substances. |

No. Just give steroids to everyone and force them to take them. Then double the size of the field and watch them still hit home runs. |
