Don't get me wrong. I'd love for last call to be extended to 4am. From a business perspective, this makes total sense. I'm just worried about driving at that hour with drunk s causing accidents (and even deaths) during my commute.
The argument has been made in this thread that other cities have 4am (or later) last calls. Take a look at those cities and their public transporation infrastructures compared to ours in LA. Our lack of public transport compiled with the sheer size of our city means more tired AND drunk people would be on the road at those hours. That scares the out of me. |

| Although I love the thought of drinking all night, I like being forced to sober up for 2+ hours before driving home. And I know damn well if I could drink until 4am, I would! If I didn't have to drive, well then... |

People are presupposing that once alcohol stops at 4am, they have to leave.
I think House clubs will still go and now extend up to 6am, with last call at 4am, so its still the same scenario as before.
Hiphop will still have the bouncers people off the club by 3:59am.
:tongue3 |

| DUI's are most common in CA already, how can extending the drinking time limit make that worse really? More revenues, more taxes, win win win win! |

Then again, it would be like driving in a video game, but with only one life left :) |

Let's go back to elementary school math, but with grown-up subjects: More time to drink + less sleep = more DUIs

| As much as I would love this, I really don't think people are responsible enough as it is... giving them an extra 2 hrs to drink more sounds like a disaster in LA |
