There are a few AVI video files that my VLC media player won't play speech in, only background sound. I tried getting latest version of player, tried getting DIVX player and using that, winamp. Tried getting a separate codec pack.
Still all I get is background noise(movie background music)
Any ideas? |

Only 5% of the movies I download have this problem, and usually they have subtitles in some other language I don't even know.
There are 5 versions of the video file from the program I am using to get these movies from, but I don't want to waste my monthly GB cap on movies with farmhand codecs. |

Okay I have found a solution to this,
It turns out this video file doesn't support 5.1 thats why. Everything worked when I switched to 2Front/2Rear. |

| Divx brings back memories(2001-2002). Check out NIMO Codec if it is still around. |
