Even if it was before the birth...adults typically say "the baby", not "it". I think it shows his maturity regardless. |

Why couldn't they do the responsible thing - send the girl off to a another country for the pregnancy, then raise the daughter as her sister?
I mean, doesn't anyone believe in traditional values anymore? |

the baby probably IS her sister, that kid hasn't even hit puberty he's just a patsy for their dirty family secrets. |

why am I not surprised? age of consent is 13 in Britain
freaking disturbing |
Ya, because the entire extra YEAR we get here in Canada makes ALL the difference, lol!
Have they raised age of consent to 16 yet? |

do you see us making it to front pages with that kinda stuff? no! in fact teen prenancy rates have been on decline in the past decade or so, http://www.sexualityandu.ca/teachers/data-6.aspx |

Are they going up in Britain? The fact that it made front-page is probably BECAUSE it happens so very rarely... The comment about age of consent is either a moot point and has nothing to do with any raise/decline in teen-pregnancy rates, or, there's a significant difference between 13 and 14 year olds, and their likely-hood to engage in responsible sex habits ;) |

nope, it's just rarely reaches us - teen pregnancies are actually fairly high in both UK and US, not sure which one is on the first place - UK has the highest rate in Western Europe |

Age of consent:
USA = 18
Britain = 13
Both have high pregnancy rates among teens. So it doesn't have anything to do with the age of consent :) That was my only point. |
