it was a very good night.
the highlight was jesse (from mstrkrft) playing in gallery with joe manzone.

I knew he looked familiar. I almost spilled my vodka all over the guy.. Luckily didn't! Totally polite class act all the way though!

that's the dj's monitor - the djs cut that themselves intentionally for various reasons

that's why it sucks to be further forward of the main speakers as you lose audio when they drop volume to discuss a track change, whether they want vodka cran vs vodka redbull, comment about the hot gogo dancer on the podium, etc. they'll adjust levels a lot so they can hear if they're mixing the track right too.

most venues have the speaker stacks at the front of the stage (e.g. in Kool Haus), i'm presuming there's something restricting them from doing so in guv. sound waves are very particular so if you get the wrong distance then they start cancelling each other out but i believe it's probably a more physical reason than that.

Guess that means no more tracklisting for the entire set now?

Perhaps not, but the place went absolutely bat insane for "Smile When You Kill Me" and the new dub of "Somos Nozes". You couldn't kick the smile off my face.

Peter's not crazy, there were very intermittent but aggravating issues with the soundsystem where the top end would cut out at random to not only the stage monitors but the front speakers as well.
hardcore trancer
The night was well below average and nothing exciting from Above & Beyond.I doubt I ll ever go see them again. It aint for me.

Thank god for J00F and CL next week and Iam sure that Guv wont be packed to the ceiling.:)
