Couldnt find anything about this, so need some expert advice.
I have 2 cdj2 and 2 x 1210's hooked up to my pioneer which in turn runs from the master out to the line in on the pc.
I want to try to get the very best sound quality when recording a mix and noted recently that when mixing between analog and digital.....its quite noticeable when playing back the mix.
If some of you guys have a similair set up, I would appreciate any advice for cables that enhance the sound, or if you have any tips when editing the mix such as compression etc.
(I use Wavepad btw)
thanks in advance |

| get better carts, clean your records, ensure that the ground wire from the TTs in connected, check your levels. the cables won't have any difference at all, unless there's something wrong with the cables or you have way too long (unbalanced) cables (like 10 meters or something). |

| You can get some decent cables off Chemical Records site, seeing as you live in Scotland, the cables I use are brilliant :) |

Unless you already have top-end recording equipment or the current cables are so crap that the connections are failing there is no need to get "good" cables.
Just remember that generally cables can pick up interference when run very close to power cables, power supplies and etc. |

| Cheers for the advice folks. |

your setup is only as good as it's weakest link, which in most cases are the cables you use
splurging on a good set of cables will only help you in the long run |

I hear people say this alot but really, I think most people need to upgrade their soundcard or DJ mixer before cables come close to being an issue. |
