While on the same night, Urban Torque and Yooshi fav, Behrouz, locks horns with UT’s rising star, Scope, on home-turf at Belfast’s finest event, Yello.
Further celebratory jaunts are planned throughout the year as part of the Urban Torque 100 Tour, and a centenary compilation mixed by label founder, Jason Moore, and Leigh Morgan hits the stores in June . It will be Jason’s first mix compilation since his instalment on the legendary ‘Journeys By DJ’ series.
Purveyors of all things deep, UK label Urban Torque have been releasing emotive, grooving electronic music since 2001, having been founded on the back of the groundbreaking club night of the same name at London’s cavernous Heaven. Reputed for the integrity and variety of their output and their committed development of fresh talent, Urban Torque have been championing the emotive qualities of electronic melodies consistently throughout this decade.
Urban Torque’s 100th release epitomises the label’s tenacious dedication to artist development, seeing the long-awaited release of ‘Your Tiny Mind’ by the sublimely sing-a-long electro-pop duo, Relation, a band that the label have been working with for a number of years. Their album, ‘Fear of Night’, is a testament to the UT philosophy to see a job worth doing through to the end. |

Urban Torque has been getting iffy lately. Last thing I REALLY enjoyed from them was the last Office Gossip release. |
