Hi all,

Curious if anybody has read this book and if so, if it is recommended.

It was recommended by a music school.

cheers

I have it, good read, not really focused on dance though

I have the book. It's interesting enough, provides a good approach to tweaking compression settings and hearing what you're doing. I've only read it through one time though, got a few things out of it. Some sections didn't really grab me as much. He has some different approaches to things, some of which didn't really appeal to me.

I'll have to read it again, see how much more I get out of it now. On balance, it's a decent book, well worth having. Better than others I have, but not as immediately useful to me as 'the mixing engineer's handbook'.

it has been sitting next to me in the studio for over 2yrs now. it has amazing tips, some which work better with sounds than others but there is NO question i understand mixing better than i ever have.

Cheers all. I've ordered it so hopefully will get some use out of it.
