I'll keep this relatively short and sweet.
I had so much fun last night. I hadn't been out in ages and last night was exactly what I needed.
It was my first time at Footwork. I love the venue! The high ceilings, the relatively small (but not too small) layout, the big display screen, etc. = great. Quite impressed.
I was unable to arrive until about midnight and, so, I missed JJ's set. I caught the last 40 mins or so of Ace's set. It was my first time seeing him behind the decks. He played a few sick tracks that I really liked, including one which Sydney spun again a few hrs later.
Sydney was amazing as usual. She had the club ROCKIN! So many big tunes! So many pounding tech basslines! I love her 'new' sound. Her energy was top-notch as expected. I love her haha.
It was wonderful to finally party with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while. I also danced the night away with some people I met for the first time. Great crowd: occasional bits of shoving but overall everyone was in the mood to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Unfortunately, not at all was well for me last night: I got into a car accident on the ride home. Long story short I slammed dead-on into a huge dark piece of plastic (maybe something that had fallen off of a truck) that was sitting right in the middle of the highway and which I was unable to avoid. The police were involved, I had to get the car towed, and now I'm stuck driving a rental while the front end of my car gets repaired. This will cost me at least $1000.00 out of pocket. TERRIBLE luck :(
