I can't say myself because I haven't seen enough of the films, but I did see Slumdog last night and it was pretty damn good. Not that it's going in my top 25, but it's Oscasr worthy. The one I really want to see for comparison is Milk.

Director: Danny Boyle (Slumdog)
Actor: Mickey Rourke
Actress: Kate Winslet
S/Actor: Heath Ledger
S/Actress: Penelope Cruz

Aside from Slumdog and The Reader (cause i could give a about The Reader), who's seen the other best picture nominees? What did you think? Was Benjamin Button as bad and boring as I think its gonna be? Without seeing that one I feel it's gonna be the Oscar bomb.

Well, never in the history of the Oscars, have the main catagory winners of both the golden globes and the baftas, also won the oscars, so either history will be made tonight or there are going to be some surprises. In other words, there's never been a clean sweep of the globes, baftas and oscars, and a lot have to do with entertainment industry politics....so lets see what happens....
Penn really should get it, Kate probably will, Danny probably will (they've done a lot of work behind the scenes to win it), Penelope probably will, and elfman for milk.
Benjamin wasn't that bad, but it isn't that good either and I never believed it - was expecting forest gump quality, but it fell short.
The changeling was better than I expected, but Angie just overcooked it a bit too much, having said that it was well directed.
