Read some more of that MS thread for the memories...some more good quotes:
From neoee:
"I agree with this statement. I was considering never going back for WMC after this year but this performance made up for all the others that were lack-luster this year. I might even go as far to say this is the best set I ever witnessed. I really hope digweed stays with this venue in the future. The drinks weren't too overpriced, there was places to sit and there were no guidos around (probably because this wasn't the happening club for them)"
And chuckc:
"^^^thats and easy one for me - definatly the best set i have ever witnessed. I have been to every wmc from 2001 to 2008 with the excpetion of last year 07.....and i have seen many a shows and absolutly nothing compares to the way digweed played last saturday. he is clearly at the top of this profession. i dont think there will ever be anyone as good as him in our lifetime. Just hope he never stops playing out.
the drinks were ridiculously low. when i got there i ordered a bottingtons and a vitamin water and it was only 8 bux. i thought i misheard her."

I talked to at least half a dozen WMC vets who I know that were at that party, and they all pretty much agreed it was the best party musically they had ever been to. I mean there's been better venues and better crowds probably, but just from a musical stand-point, I don't think I'll ever hear anything like that again.
I also should say I liked the venue (minus the bathroom situation, but we found a workaround). Cool atmosphere, awesome staff, and the best bar in WMC Miami. Didn't take me more than a few seconds to get a drink, and they were all priced around $8...can't beat that.

im going to be so happy when I have all my tickets It is way too stressful right now trying to decide. I had my heart set on lawler > sunday school. cant with digweed and cheap booze though.

Still deciding between lawler and digweed. Seriously tough decision. And like this isnt making it any easier.

Diggers.;)

I was so tired last year I bucked after saying what's up to John and catching Hernans set. Wish I would have stayed. Venue was nice for lounging but the inside was too hot for such a small space and the sound system was lack luster. Still don't doubt that the music was beyond anything that night. As I was leaving I heard Diggers put on a massive track(Djinx-incarnation)

Does Vagabond really close at 5?
charon
Probably not, IIRC, if closed at around 6 last yr

With Kore not opening and lawler moved to Nocturnal, I am more than likely in for Diggers. This place is close to Ice Palace, too, isnt it?
rudeflame
lame about it being moved to nocturnal...however same venue as circoloco so easy access to upstairs
also i see steve is only playing 12 to 4...sucks
DPetey81
Yeah, sucks. I was really torn before and one of the major factors was a smaller venue that was just opening(Kore) Now the event is teamed up with JP the same night at Nocturnal so no way will it be small and intimate. I dunno. Still on the fence I guess. I am wondering if it would be doable to go to Lawler for a couple hours and if I'm not digging it hop over to Vagabond. ????
