I suppose. DEMF seems to still have that underground vibe. Which is probably why they still only make that underground money :)

The problem IS money. As long as that is the top motivator to do anything, profit will be the priority and not the music and thus the human race will continue to drift aimlessly.
i think alot of DEMF doesnt appeal to the masses either......i mean....detroit? LOL....

This is true, but I see the point he's trying to make. It doesn't have that same appeal that Miami or other exotic locations, theres just something about dance music and the beach that go together. But you gotta have love for DEMF. You have to give them credit at least they haven't sold out.

For a true experience, it is not quantity, but quality. It's the people that create the vibe or destroy it. Case and point. Ultra, is huge, it has more acts performing than you can possibly see at one time. It is chaos. So much so that it is now 2 days.

Ultra (V1), as I recall had 1 main stage and 2-3 tents. By 9 PM, everyone was at the main stage, 2000 people chanting ... "Rabbit in the Moon... We Love you...." Yeah, I was rolling balls and high as a kite, that's not the point...." The point I was trying to make was.... I don't know. But it was so awesome that I still remember it.

Wait, that's my point. Its about finding that moment and sharing it with a few thousand of your close friends. And THAT is what ULTRA has lost.

my point is that the bigger these events get, the more "commercial" they become.....case in point, any massive in california

That's it. There's no way those money grubbing whores can commercialize an event that takes place in the middle of a desert for a week :)

What would they do for a VIP area? A pimped out tent? LOL

In a real festival, everyone is treated the same, like herded cattle :)

Having a "VIP" area promotes a class system and is anti-unity.

That is the real point of a festival isn't it? Bringing everyone together?

But wait, if we can convert just one of those pop culture morons, the world might just become a better place ;)
