Where do you plan on going?

My boyfriend taught in South Korea a little over a year ago. You need to have some type of university degree to be accepted to any of the good places and Asia apparently pays the best.

i'm thinking of going to east-asia as well to teach english. the two spots i was mainly thinking of are korea and taiwan.

you could consider taiwan. its a warm (island in southern China) country and they just built a new subway station linking the country, making it more convenient to go places. did you hear any information/feedback(advantages & disadvantages) about teaching english in taiwan? and korea?

Let me know how you get on...

I am considering doing something like this.

I know a lot of people who have done it, say they really enjoy it.. But its long hours and hard work.

I would most definitly consider china, the uprising of the nation = They all want to speak English = money.. Private lessons are the way forward, get your foot in the door and the rest comes. Vietnam is suppose to be very good for this.

I think Asian countries are a sound bet.

If I can find a non urban placement I'd lean towards that..

what agencies are you working with for your placement.

I know someone that taught in Taiwan, and I've known two people that have gone to korea (soon to be three)

I'd serious consider it, but I'm trying to escape snow.. and most placements are 1 year contract (if not 2 year)

If I get anything I'd consider it though.

I'm trying to find somewhere I can take post secondary courses while teaching in english. (1 or 2 credits / semester.)

If I can fill these criteria I'll be very pleased.

I'll be working on this over the next few months.

its called KNS taiwan(you can google it), i haven't researched it yet, but i met a girl who worked with them and had an amazing experience.

what did you hear about taiwan and korea from those people?
