Serato and Monitor set up??

Ive just bought a pair of behringer truth B2031A monitors and when connected to my mixer alone they work fine but with serato it just makes a ringing noise. googled it and cant find any answers.
anyone have this setup or know how to fix the problem?

Change the input from analogue to line ;)
The sound you're hearing is the timecode on the vinyl.

| had the input on line already as im using cdj 800s tried changing it to phone and still no joy, havent a clue whats wrong with it. |

If i remember correctly there is a setting in Serato as well that you can change.
If you go into the settings there should be a line-phono tick box or something. Maybe try that.
I'm using TSP now so can't 100% remember where the serato settings are but that might be it.
Otherwise it could be wiring. May be worthwhile taking all the wiring apart and starting from scratch again. Though i'd try changing the line/phono software setting first. Might be that.

Explain how it works when you hook the mixer directly up to the speakers? Maybe that'll give us an idea of what's not working.

| got it sorted jsut changed the outputs on serato from thru to line. think this is why it didnt work for me when i was djing at a club haha |

Good stuff,
I knew there were was a setting in Serato as well somewhere.
Same thing happened to me the other night at a mates free gaf. I couldn't get Traktor to work for some reason. Found out what it was eventually and kicked myself. Though i was able to use Traktor without the control vinyls and had a laugh anyway..
