The one in 2000 was held at a farming convention center in Fresno and was hands down the best massive I've been to. Didn't like it so much at the Cow Palace the next year. Reguarless it was a great event with amazing line-ups.

the one in Fresno was initially supposed to be in San Jose but had to change b/c of a high number of OD's at a prior event called Quest. After quest crackdown is when all the anit-rave laws started taking affect.

The Fresno one was great. In order to make it work it was promoted in Fresno as a family event. It had xgames athletes and stuff till 10. They new the families would be gone by then. By 12 it obviously a little different atmosphere. The venue was in awesome. 5 areas of music. All completely different kinds of buildings. 2 massive ones and an amphitheatre.

Here's a video I found of BT that night who just ing killed it! It's not very good but notice he's actually using keyboards. He used to always take one and throw it to the ground at the end. He did that at the end of this one, ed up the equipment and delayed Oakie by 30 mins. I didn't mind because it gave me and my buddy a chance to check out Carl Cox.
Good times. And that was in my weed only days.

Good one. My favorite trance cd of all time is his "Session 1" mix on the ICU lable. Used to see him play all the time. Interesting mixing technique.

His EDC set was actually a lot better than I've heard him play in a while. Before that about 5 years back was a rave called Independance which was at the LA Colliseum and probably one of the best parties I've ever been too. I did see him another time after that party, probably about 2 years back at the Vanguard and he was dropping it pretty hard. Other that that though I have not been impressed. Wish he would bring back the old PvD :( :(
